Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsLeading Trade Marketing initiatives of a global MNC companyCompetitive BenefitsAbout Our ClientOur client is a global pet food company looking for Trade Marketing Manager to bridge strategic brand objectives and retail execution across the overall retail channels, transforming national marketing plans into targeted, specific programs that accelerate consumer off-take.Job DescriptionTrade Strategy & PlanningOwn and optimize the trade investment budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to support category priorities while remaining aligned with overall brand and commercial strategies.Develop channel- and retailer-specific activation plans that reflect distinct shopper behaviors across channelsLead the development of promotional calendars and mechanics that drive incremental growth, protect baseline sales, and minimize volume cannibalization.Joint Business Planning & New Product Development (NPD)Lead Joint Business Planning (JBP) discussions with key accounts, partnering with customers to co-create annual growth plans rather than solely executing centrally driven initiatives.Drive flawless execution of new product launches, ensuring planogram compliance, targeted distribution expansion, and strong in-store visibility for new SKUs.Commercial Analytics & Performance ManagementOwn and leverage key commercial performance metrics, including weighted and numeric distribution, trade spend ROI, cannibalization analysis, out-of-stock frequency, price gap monitoring, share movement, store segmentation, promotional effectiveness, NPD performance tracking, and trade investment efficiency.Translate data into actionable business decisions by identifying gaps between key performance indicators, such as distribution quality, spend efficiency, forecast accuracy, and sales growth, enabling proactive intervention before issues impact business results.S&OP ContributionActively participate in Portfolio Management Review (PMR) and Demand Management Review (DMR) processes, representing channel perspectives on demand, portfolio priorities, and growth opportunities.Provide data-driven recommendations to support cross-functional decision-making and business planning.Demand ForecastingDevelop robust bottom-up demand forecasts by integrating baseline demand trends, seasonality, promotional uplift, new product ramp-up, and cannibalization impacts across SKU, retailer, and monthly dimensions.Refine promotional uplift assumptions using historical performance data segmented by promotion type and store tier, while continuously monitoring forecast accuracy and bias to improve forecasting reliability.Deliver forecast scenarios, including base, upside, and downside cases, to enable Supply Chain and Finance teams to plan effectively for potential demand variability.Field Execution & Sales AlignmentPartner closely with Regional Sales Managers (RSMs), District Managers (DMs), and Business Development Managers (BDMs) to ensure excellence in execution across all key touchpoints.Monitor display compliance, product availability, distribution gaps, and on-shelf visibility in real time, enabling rapid corrective actions and minimizing executional losses.Serve as the critical link between trade strategy and field execution, ensuring commercial plans translate into measurable in-market results.The Successful ApplicantMinimum 5 years of experience in both Trade Marketing & Field Sales within FMCG industries, exposure to Key Account Management and/or Field Sales is a must.Strong analytical capabilities with hands-on experience in distribution management, promotion effectiveness measurement, trade investment ROI analysis, and demand forecasting.
