The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in starch, modified starch, and starch derivatives, along with a strong network across the Food & Beverage manufacturing sector.

This is a strategic, hands-on role for an independent, trustworthy sales professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and can serve as the key market opener for Indonesia.

Job Description

  • Drive sales growth and market penetration for starch and derivative products within Indonesia.
  • Conduct ground‑breaking commercial efforts to open new markets, build pipelines, and convert new accounts.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with F&B manufacturers and industry stakeholders.
  • Introduce and promote product portfolios to new and existing customers.
  • Independently manage the full sales cycle with minimal supervision.
  • Provide regular business updates, market insights, and sales reports to the regional team.
  • Identify opportunities, negotiate agreements, and ensure sustainable business growth.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in sales within the food ingredients or related industry.
  • Strong technical and commercial understanding of starch and its derivatives (e.g., modified starch, sweeteners, texturizers).
  • Established professional network within the F&B sector (dairy, beverages, bakery, snacks, processed foods, etc.).
  • Proven track record of opening markets, acquiring new accounts, and driving sales growth.
  • Highly independent, self‑motivated, and trustworthy.
  • Comfortable working with minimal supervision and confident in managing field activities.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills; able to work closely with a regional (APAC/Global) team.
  • Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia; proficiency in English is an advantage.
