Job Description

As a Plant Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing daily plant operations to ensure efficient production processes and adherence to quality standards.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to optimise production performance and reduce costs.
  • Managing and mentoring a team of engineering and manufacturing professionals to achieve operational goals.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations within the facility.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support product development and innovation.
  • Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and drive success.
  • Maintaining and improving relationships with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
  • Leading continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Plant Manager should have:

  • Bachelor's Degree of Mechanical Engineering/ Industrial Engineering/ Chemical Engineering
  • A strong background in engineering or manufacturing, ideally within the FMCG industry.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams effectively.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of production processes and quality assurance standards.
  • Familiarity with safety, health, and environmental regulations in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address complex challenges.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in analysing data and using metrics to drive improvements.
