Job Description

As a Material Planning professional, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the procurement and timely delivery of materials for production processes.
  • Monitoring inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability.
  • Collaborating with suppliers to maintain consistent supply chain operations.
  • Analysing material requirements and generating accurate forecasts.
  • Coordinating with production teams to align material availability with production schedules.
  • Resolving any issues related to material shortages or delays.
  • Maintaining accurate records of material transactions and inventory data.
  • Implementing strategies to improve material planning efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Material Planning professional should have:

  • Experience in procurement, supply chain, or material planning within the industrial/manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems and supply chain coordination.
  • Strong analytical skills for material forecasting and planning.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and tools to manage material planning.
