Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the sales strategy and execution for the company's Business Information solutions.
  • Drive new business acquisition across priority industries and target accounts.
  • Build, manage, and convert a strong pipeline of qualified commercial opportunities.
  • Develop senior relationships with key stakeholders including CFOs, Finance Directors, Credit Directors, Risk leaders, Procurement leaders, and Commercial leaders.
  • Position the value proposition across a range of client needs, including:
    • customer risk assessment,
    • supplier risk management,
    • prospecting and market intelligence,
    • credit decisioning,
    • portfolio monitoring,
    • data/API integration into client workflows.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and close complex, consultative solution sales opportunities.
  • Work cross-functionally with product, marketing, operations, and leadership teams to sharpen go-to-market execution.
  • Lead, coach, and performance-manage the sales team where relevant, setting clear expectations and performance standards.
  • Ensure strong forecasting discipline, pipeline visibility, and consistent delivery against revenue targets.
  • Act as a senior commercial ambassador for the business in the market.

This role requires a commercially sharp and highly driven leader who can combine hands-on business development with strategic sales leadership. The successful candidate will be expected to build market presence, create momentum, and instill a strong culture of accountability, pace, and execution.

The Successful Applicant

Candidate ProfileWe are seeking a highly commercial, target-driven sales leader with a proven ability to win and scale B2B solution sales in business information, data, risk, financial services, SaaS, or adjacent sectors.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • A strong track record as a hunter, with clear success in acquiring new customers and opening strategic accounts.
  • A target-driven mindset, with evidence of exceeding revenue goals and commercial KPIs.
  • Experience selling complex, consultative B2B solutions rather than purely transactional products.
  • Strong exposure to one or more of the following areas:
    • business information,
    • credit risk solutions,
    • financial information services,
    • data and analytics platforms,
    • compliance and prospecting data,
    • SaaS-based information solutions,
    • API-enabled data products.
  • The ability to engage credibly with senior stakeholders and articulate commercial value clearly and persuasively.
  • Strong discipline in prospecting, account planning, pipeline management, and deal execution.
  • Leadership capability, either as an established sales head or as a high-performing senior sales leader ready to step into a broader leadership mandate.
  • High resilience, energy, ownership, and execution focus.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.



Preferred BackgroundThe strongest candidates are likely to bring:

  • Experience in business information, credit, insurance-related data, fintech, risk solutions, or commercial intelligence services.
  • A successful record of selling into corporates, financial institutions, trade-oriented businesses, or risk-sensitive sectors.
  • Familiarity with subscription-based, platform-led, insight-led, or API-enabled offerings.
  • A commercial style that combines strategic thinking with strong front-line execution.
  • The credibility and maturity to operate effectively in a senior external-facing leadership role.
