Job Description

As a Head of Procurement, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing procurement strategies to support business objectives.
  • Managing supplier relationships to ensure quality, delivery, and cost targets are met.
  • Overseeing contract negotiations and ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Analysing market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Collaborating with internal departments to align procurement activities with operational needs.
  • Monitoring procurement performance and preparing regular reports for senior management.
  • Ensuring adherence to ethical procurement practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Leading and mentoring the procurement team to achieve departmental goals.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Procurement should have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Commerce and other related field
  • Strong background in procurement and supply chain management.
  • Proven experience in the FMCG industry or similar sectors.
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong leadership capabilities to manage and develop a team.
  • Knowledge of procurement systems and tools.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and ethical procurement standards.
