Job Description

As a Head of Modern Trade, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing sales strategies to achieve growth targets in the modern trade channel.
  • Managing and nurturing relationships with key accounts to ensure long-term partnerships.
  • Monitoring market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborating with marketing and supply chain teams to ensure product availability and visibility.
  • Leading a team of sales professionals to achieve performance goals and ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Analysing sales data to provide insights and recommendations for business growth.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction.
  • Representing the company in meetings and negotiations to secure favourable terms and partnerships.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Modern Trade should have:

  • A strong background in sales and account management within the FMCG/retail/distributor industry.
  • Proven 10+ years of ability to develop and implement effective strategies for the modern trade sector.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to build and maintain partnerships.
  • Leadership skills to manage and motivate a sales team effectively.
  • Analytical skills to interpret data and make informed business decisions.
  • An understanding of market dynamics and consumer behaviour in the retail sector.
  • Understanding about Import process
  • Fluent in English
