Job Description

As a Head of Legal, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Providing legal advice to support business decisions and strategies.
  • Ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts and agreements.
  • Managing legal risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Overseeing litigation and dispute resolution processes.
  • Collaborating with external legal counsel when necessary.
  • Advising on corporate governance and regulatory matters.
  • Leading the legal department and mentoring team members.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Legal should have:

  • A law degree from a recognised institution with 8-12 years of experience.
  • Strong expertise in corporate and commercial law.
  • Experience in the FMCG industry or similar sectors.
  • Proven ability to manage legal risks and compliance matters.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Leadership experience within a legal team.
