Our client is a Leading FMCG company with strong brand equity and a growing footprint across Indonesia and the region. The business is recognised for its product innovation and commitment to quality. As part of its ongoing growth, the company is seeking a Head of Direct Procurement to strengthen its sourcing strategies and supplier partnerships.

Job Description

Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, the Head of Direct Procurement will be responsible for leading sourcing strategy and execution across all direct materials, with a strong focus on key ingredients.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing strategic sourcing plans for direct materials, particularly Food related ingredients.
  • Managing supplier relationships to ensure cost competitiveness, quality assurance, and supply continuity
  • Leading negotiations and contracting activities with both local and international suppliers
  • Driving cost optimisation initiatives while maintaining product quality and innovation standards
  • Collaborating closely with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to support product development and commercial launches
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal governance standards in sourcing activities
  • Managing risk related to raw material availability, pricing volatility, and supply disruptions
  • Building and leading a high-performing procurement team



The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have:

  • Minimum 10 years of Significant experience in direct procurement / strategic sourcing, ideally within food, beverage, or consumer manufacturing environments
  • Proven track record in supplier management, cost negotiation, and procurement strategy development
  • Experience managing regional or global supplier networks is preferred
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • Analytical mindset with solid commercial acumen
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Food Technology, or a related field; postgraduate degree is an advantage
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in English
