About Our Client

Our client is an FMCG company with leading categories in the market looking for Head of Category Development to lead the commercial planning & trade marketing strategy of overall channels within the category.

Job Description

  • Drive and oversee the annual commercial and category planning process, ensuring full alignment with overarching business objectives and channel strategies.
  • Implement promotional and commercial initiatives, guaranteeing seamless coordination across sales, marketing, and supply chain functions.
  • Assess category performance regularly, uncovering insights and identifying opportunities to enhance growth and optimize execution.
  • Lead demand forecasting for both existing products and new product developments (NPD) to support accurate planning and successful market launches.
  • Manage budget allocation and ensure efficient spending, maximizing return on investment (ROI) and overall category profitability.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or related major
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in trade marketing, category management, or commercial planning within FMCG industry
  • Expertise in managing overall channels especially GT & MT
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in sales forecasting, promotion evaluation, and category data analysis.
  • Proven ability to translate insights into actionable category and trade strategies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
