Job Description

As a Business Development Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with the organisation's strategic priorities in Indonesia.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, joint venture partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Lead end‑to‑end business development activities, including opportunity qualification, pre‑contract shaping, and bid strategy development.
  • Coordinate and contribute to tender and proposal preparation, ensuring commercial competitiveness and compliance with internal governance requirements.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and client needs to inform strategic planning and decision‑making.
  • Collaborate closely with operations, commercial, legal, and technical teams to develop value‑driven solutions.
  • Represent the organisation at industry events, client meetings, and conferences as required.
  • Ensure all business development activities align with the organisation's safety, sustainability, and ethical standards.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Business Development Manager should have:

  • A strong background in sales, business development, or a related field within the contractor/mining industry.
  • Strong network with major mining players or large industry participants, with the ability to originate new projects and build a solid pipeline.
  • Experience on large-scale projects
  • Proven ability to identify and capitalise on business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in market research and strategic planning.
