As part of its continued expansion, the company is seeking an accomplished Business Development Manager - SMB Segment to lead revenue growth, customer acquisition, and strategic market development.

Job Description

Key ResponsibilitiesRevenue Growth & Business Development

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets within the SMB segment.
  • Identify, prospect, and acquire new business opportunities through outbound and inbound channels.
  • Build and manage a high-quality sales pipeline across targeted industries and territories.
  • Conduct customer needs assessments and position SaaS solutions to address specific business challenges.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and close subscription-based software agreements.



Customer Acquisition & Relationship Management

  • Establish trusted advisor relationships with SMB decision-makers, business owners, and key stakeholders.
  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations and value-based sales presentations.
  • Ensure a seamless customer journey from prospecting through onboarding and handoff to customer success teams.
  • Drive customer retention and expansion opportunities through account growth initiatives.



Market Intelligence & Strategic Planning

  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs within the SMB landscape.
  • Provide actionable market insights to product, marketing, and leadership teams.
  • Support the development of pricing, packaging, and go-to-market strategies.



Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Marketing to optimize lead generation campaigns.
  • Collaborate with Product and Customer Success teams to enhance customer outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasting and pipeline reporting through CRM systems.

The Successful Applicant

Candidate ProfileRequired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management.
  • Proven success selling SaaS, cloud, software, or technology solutions.
  • Demonstrated track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of SMB customer acquisition and sales cycles.
  • Experience managing complex sales opportunities from prospecting to close.



Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a high-growth SaaS or technology startup environment.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Knowledge of subscription-based business models and recurring revenue metrics.
  • Experience selling productivity, business management, fintech, cybersecurity, or cloud solutions.
