About Our Client

  • The Assistant Legal Manager will be responsible for supporting the company's end-to-end legal function, with a strong focus on commercial contracts, corporate legal matters, regulatory compliance, manufacturing-related legal support, and internal legal advisory.
  • This role is well-suited for a legal professional who is hands-on, commercially aware, and experienced in supporting fast-paced FMCG, food and beverage, manufacturing, or consumer goods businesses.

Job Description

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including distribution, sales, procurement, vendor, service, marketing, sponsorship, and logistics agreements.
  • Provide legal support to internal stakeholders across commercial, supply chain, manufacturing, HR, marketing, and finance teams.
  • Ensure company activities comply with prevailing laws and regulations, particularly in relation to FMCG, food and beverage, consumer goods, manufacturing, advertising, and distribution.
  • Manage corporate secretarial matters, licensing, permits, company documentation, and governance requirements.
  • Support regulatory matters related to BPOM, halal certification, product claims, labeling, advertising, and consumer protection.
  • Handle legal risk assessment and provide practical legal advice for business initiatives.
  • Liaise with external counsel, notaries, government authorities, and other third parties when required.
  • Support dispute management, employment-related legal matters, and internal compliance initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Law from a reputable university.
  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of legal experience, preferably with a mix of law firm and in-house experience.
  • Strong preference for candidates currently working in FMCG, food and beverage, consumer goods, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or manufacturing companies.
  • Solid experience in contract drafting, commercial legal advisory, corporate legal, licensing, and compliance.
  • Familiarity with BPOM, halal, product labeling, advertising regulations, distribution agreements, and manufacturing-related permits would be highly preferred.
  • Strong business partnering mindset with the ability to provide practical legal solutions, not only theoretical advice.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
  • Detail-oriented, ethical, independent, and able to manage legal matters with minimal supervision.
