Job Description

As a Trade Compliance Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing trade compliance policies and procedures aligned with local and international regulations across APAC region.
  • Ensuring compliance with import/export regulations and trade restrictions in the FMCG sector.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to manage risk and maintain adherence to compliance standards.
  • Monitoring regulatory changes and advising on necessary adjustments to practices and policies.
  • Conducting regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Providing training and guidance to employees on trade compliance requirements.
  • Managing relationships with regulatory bodies and external stakeholders in Jakarta and beyond.
  • Preparing and submitting required documentation and reports to relevant authorities.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Trade Compliance Manager should have:

  • Law or Customs qualification with advanced APAC trade & customs expertise
  • Minimum 10 years progressive experience in complex CPG, legal, or consulting environments
  • Leadership experience
  • Food manufacturing experience preferred
  • English proficiency
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in regulatory procedures and documentation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively
  • Familiarity with risk management and compliance frameworks
