Security Platform Engineer

1. Security Implementation & Maintenance

• Deploy and maintain security technologies, including SIEM, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), Web Application Firewalls (WAF), and other security tools.
• Configure and continuously monitor security systems to detect, prevent, and respond to threats effectively.

2. Vulnerability Management

• Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address security weaknesses.
• Track remediation activities and ensure timely resolution of identified risks.

3. Incident Response

• Support incident response activities, including containment, eradication, and recovery efforts.
• Analyze security alerts, logs, and events to investigate and respond to potential incidents.

4. Security Assessments & Audits

• Conduct security assessments, audits, and inspections to identify gaps and recommend improvements.
• Assist in developing, updating, and maintaining security documentation, procedures, and controls.

5. Security Monitoring & Analysis

• Proactively monitor security tools and logs for suspicious activity or emerging threats.
• Analyze security data and produce reports to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.

6. Policy & Compliance Implementation

• Support the implementation and enforcement of security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Ensure adherence to industry regulations and security best practices.

7. Security Awareness & Training

• Provide technical input and support for employee security awareness programs.
• Promote best practices for information security across the organization.

8. Technology Research & Improvement

• Stay up to date with emerging security threats, technologies, and industry trends.
• Evaluate new tools and solutions for potential adoption and impact on the organization.
