Job Description

As a Freight Forwarding Sales Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve business objectives and revenue targets in the transport and distribution sector.
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to expand the company's client base.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, ensuring their logistics needs are met effectively.
  • Providing tailored freight forwarding solutions that align with client requirements.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitoring market trends and competitor activities to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
  • Preparing and delivering sales presentations and proposals to potential clients.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Freight Forwarding Sales Specialist/Manager should have:

  • Proven experience in sales within the transport and distribution industry, particularly in freight forwarding.
  • Experienced dominantly as a hunter.
  • The ability to work independently, with minimum supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain operations.
  • Strong track record in selling to FMCG and Industrial clients.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • A proactive and goal-oriented approach to sales and client management.
  • A focus on delivering exceptional customer service and building long-term partnerships.
