Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead trade compliance strategy across multiple ASEAN markets
  • Act as the main advisor to regional and country management on compliance matters
  • Serve as the key liaison with customs and trade authorities across the region
  • Develop and implement regional trade compliance frameworks and local SOPs
  • Ensure alignment between global policies and country-level execution
  • Oversee import/export controls, customs processes, and regulatory requirements
  • Drive audits, risk assessments, and compliance monitoring across countries
  • Ensure proper documentation, archiving, and audit readiness
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (supply chain, legal, procurement, finance)
  • Lead training programs to strengthen compliance awareness across the region
  • Provide guidance on sanctions, export controls, and cross-border risks

The Successful Applicant

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Law, Business, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in trade compliance, customs, or regulatory affairs
  • Strong expertise in customs and trade compliance, with regional exposure preferred
  • Deep understanding of Indonesian regulations (as a core market)
  • Experience working in large, multinational, matrix organizations
  • Proven ability to manage and influence diverse regional stakeholders
  • Experience engaging with government authorities across multiple jurisdictions
  • Strong background in audits, permits, licensing, and compliance systems
  • Familiarity with SAP GTS or similar platforms
  • Excellent communication skills with strong influencing and negotiation ability
  • High integrity and ability to operate in a complex compliance environment
  • Strong customs expertise with regional advisory capability
  • Excellent stakeholder management across countries
  • High integrity with strong compliance mindset
