Job Description

As a Regional Trade & Customs Compliance your main responsibilities will include:

    • Act as the primary liaison with trade and customs authorities across regions
    • Advise management on trade compliance risks, policies, and regulatory changes
    • Develop, implement, and maintain local trade compliance frameworks and SOPs
    • Ensure alignment between global compliance standards and local operations
    • Oversee customs processes, export/import activities, and regulatory filings
    • Manage trade compliance audits, documentation, and record-keeping systems
    • Drive compliance awareness through training and internal engagement programs
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (supply chain, legal, procurement)
    • Ensure master data, supplier qualifications, and operational processes are compliant
    • Provide guidance on sanctions, export controls, and cross-border regulations

The Successful Applicant

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Law, Business, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in trade compliance, customs, or regulatory affairs
  • Deep expertise in Indonesian customs regulations and trade compliance frameworks
  • Strong experience working within large, multinational, matrix organizations
  • Proven ability to manage government stakeholders and regulatory authorities
  • Experience with audits, permits, licensing, and compliance documentation
  • Familiarity with SAP GTS or similar trade compliance systems
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders
  • Strong integrity and ability to operate in a high-compliance environment
  • Proactive, analytical, and confident in managing complex regulatory issues
  • Deep customs expertise with advisory capability to leadership
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • High integrity and commitment to compliance excellence
