Job Description

  • Developing and executing procurement strategies for plastic packaging materials, including flexible packaging, rigid plastics, films, bottles, caps, closures, and related components.
  • Managing supplier selection, negotiation, contracting, and performance evaluation.
  • Driving cost optimisation initiatives through strategic sourcing, value engineering, and supplier collaboration.
  • Ensuring supply continuity while maintaining quality, compliance, and service levels.
  • Monitoring market trends, raw material price movements, and supplier risks related to plastic resin and packaging materials.
  • Working closely with R&D, production, quality, planning, and finance teams to support business requirements.
  • Leading procurement improvement initiatives, including process efficiency, sustainability, and packaging innovation.
  • Managing supplier relationships and building a reliable supplier base locally and regionally.
  • Ensuring procurement activities comply with company policies, governance standards, and ethical sourcing requirements.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of procurement experience, with at least several years handling plastic packaging procurement.
  • Strong knowledge of plastic packaging categories such as flexible packaging, rigid packaging, injection moulding, blow moulding, PET, PP, PE, HDPE, and related materials.
  • Experience working in FMCG, food and beverage, personal care, packaging, or manufacturing industries is preferred.
  • Strong negotiation, supplier management, and analytical skills.
  • Good understanding of cost drivers, market dynamics, and raw material trends in plastic packaging.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders and regional suppliers.
  • Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
  • High level of commercial acumen, ownership, and problem-solving ability.
