The firm has built a strong technical and legal foundation, servicing a broad range of clients across industries. With a growing pipeline of patent work, the firm is looking to strengthen its team by adding a Patent Expert who can contribute at a high level from day one.

Job Description

This role is suited for a technically strong professional who enjoys working on the substantive aspects of patent practice, particularly in crafting and developing patent arguments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Handling substantive patent work, including drafting and developing patent arguments
  • Assisting in patent prosecution and responding to office actions
  • Conducting technical and legal analysis of inventions and patent claims
  • Working closely with the Partner on complex and strategic matters
  • Collaborating with a team of experienced patent professionals
  • Supporting the overall strength and depth of the patent practice



The Successful Applicant

Qualifications and attributes:

  • Strong technical background (e.g., engineering, science, or related field)
  • Proven experience in substantive patent work and argument development
  • Familiarity with patent prosecution processes is highly preferred
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts in writing
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of precision
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-based environment
  • Motivated to deepen expertise within an already strong patent team
