Job Description

As a Packaging Development Head, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Lead packaging development projects from initial concept through to production readiness.
  • Develop packaging solutions that meet product, production and operational requirements.
  • Work closely with the team to align packaging specifications with manufacturing processes.
  • Review packaging designs and materials to support product protection, usability and consistency.
  • Coordinate packaging trials to confirm that proposed solutions can be produced effectively.
  • Document packaging specifications and development outcomes for clear implementation.
  • Identify practical improvements to packaging formats, materials and production processes.
  • Work with relevant internal stakeholders to deliver packaging changes in line with agreed plans.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Packaging Development Head should have:

  • Experience leading packaging development activities from concept to implementation.
  • Knowledge of packaging materials, formats and specifications.
  • Experience working with manufacturing teams on packaging trials and implementation.
  • Ability to review packaging designs against product and production requirements.
  • Experience preparing clear packaging documentation and specifications.
  • Practical understanding of packaging improvement and development processes.
