Job Description

As a Managing Associate, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and managing a team of legal professionals to deliver high-quality services to clients.
  • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and long-term collaboration.
  • Overseeing complex legal cases and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Contributing to the strategic growth and development of the legal department within the professional services firm.
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to expand the firm's client base.
  • Providing mentorship and professional development opportunities for junior team members.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure cohesive service delivery across the organisation.
  • Representing the firm at industry events and fostering a positive public image.

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications and attributes:

  • Qualified lawyer in Indonesia with solid experience in banking, capital markets, and/or corporate law
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience at a reputable law firm
  • Proven ability to manage transactions independently and lead client engagements
  • Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills
  • A business development mindset with genuine interest in marketing and networking
  • Experience in building and maintaining client relationships
  • Confident, proactive, and commercially driven
  • Leadership experience with the ability to mentor junior team members
