Job Description

As a Legal & Compliance Counsel, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Providing legal advice and guidance on industry-related matters and regulatory frameworks.
  • Developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring adherence to local and international legal requirements within the life science sector.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and other legal documents.
  • Collaborating with internal departments to identify and mitigate legal risks.
  • Monitoring changes in regulations and advising on their impact on operations.
  • Handling investigations and resolving compliance issues effectively.
  • Providing training and awareness programs on compliance and legal matters.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Legal & Compliance Counsel should have:

  • A degree in law from a reputable university with 5-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks within the life science industry.
  • Experience in drafting and reviewing contracts and legal documentation.
  • Proficiency in identifying and mitigating legal risks.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
  • A proactive and organised approach to managing tasks and deadlines.
