About Our Client

Our client is a well-established investment platform with high level investment portfolios. They are involved in a diverse range of financing and investment activities and are seeking a capable legal professional who can operate independently in a fast-paced, transaction-driven environment.

Job Description

  • Leading legal work streams for financing and investment transactions from initiation to completion.
  • Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating financing, security, and transaction documents, including complex cross-border agreements such as facility agreements (APLMA standard).
  • Supporting debt financing, project financing, and other strategic transactions involving multiple stakeholders and jurisdictions.
  • Advising business stakeholders on legal, commercial, and regulatory risks and recommending practical solutions.
  • Coordinating with external counsel and international advisor to ensure timely transaction execution.
  • Assessing and mitigating material legal risks while balancing commercial objectives.
  • Managing transaction closing processes, execution requirements, and post-completion matters.
  • Handling various legal administrative matters, including document execution, maintenance of legal records, and filing requirements where necessary.
  • Supporting the development and enhancement of legal processes and governance frameworks.

The Successful Applicant

  • Qualified lawyer with approximately 7-10 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
  • Strong experience in banking & finance, project finance, leveraged finance, or other financing-related transnational work.
  • Proven experience reviewing and negotiating sophisticated financing documentation, including facility agreements and related transaction documents.
  • Exposure to cross-border transactions and experience working with international stakeholders and external counsels.
  • Background from a leading international law firm.
  • Experience supporting investment firms, private equity, funds, financial institutions, or principal investment businesses will be advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of lending, credit, and financing legal frameworks.
  • Able to independently drive legal work streams with minimal supervision.
  • Commercially minded with strong judgement and the ability to assess complex legal and regulatory risks.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, stakeholder management, and project management skills.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, attention to detail, and discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Positive attitude, proactive mindset, and willingness to take ownership across both strategic and operational legal matters.
