We are hiring an in-house IP (Trademark) Lawyer to lead trademark matters across the ASEAN region. This role will focus on managing trademark registration, protection, and portfolio strategy, while partnering closely with business teams and reporting directly to the Board of Directors.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end trademark life cycle, including clearance searches, filing, prosecution, and renewals across ASEAN jurisdictions
  • Develop and implement regional trademark protection strategies aligned with business expansion plans
  • Handle trademark oppositions, disputes, and enforcement matters in collaboration with external counsel
  • Provide legal advice on brand usage, marketing campaigns, and product launches to mitigate IP risks
  • Maintain and monitor trademark portfolio, ensuring compliance with local regulations
  • Liaise with external law firms, IP offices, and internal stakeholders across different markets
  • Support broader IP-related matters where required, including brand protection and risk management

The Successful Applicant

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in intellectual property law, with a strong focus on trademarks
  • Proven experience managing regional trademark registration (ASEAN exposure is essential)
  • Ability to work independently as a sole contributor in a lean structure
  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to partner business stakeholders
  • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal
  • Full Work From Office policy
