Our client is a leading QSR Company with a strong presence across the world. Due to continued growth and transformation, they are seeking a strategic and hands-on Head of Procurement to lead sourcing, supplier management, and procurement operations across both food and non-food categories.

Job Description

The Head of Procurement will be responsible for developing and executing the procurement strategy to support business growth, operational excellence, cost optimization, and supply continuity.

Key responsibilities include:

Strategic Procurement & Category Management

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies covering food ingredients, beverages, packaging, indirect materials, equipment, MRO, and other non-food categories.
  • Establish category management frameworks to optimize spend, reduce costs, and improve supplier performance.
  • Drive strategic sourcing initiatives and identify opportunities for value creation across the procurement function.
  • Monitor commodity markets and industry trends to proactively manage pricing volatility and supply risks.



Supplier Management & Strategic Sourcing

  • Build and manage relationships with key local and international suppliers.
  • Lead supplier selection, evaluation, qualification, and contract negotiations.
  • Develop supplier performance management programs focusing on quality, service, innovation, and sustainability.
  • Ensure supply continuity through effective risk management and supplier diversification strategies.



Cost Management & Commercial Excellence

  • Deliver annual procurement savings targets while maintaining quality and service standards.
  • Lead contract negotiations to secure favorable commercial terms and mitigate business risks.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Operations teams to optimize total cost of ownership across all spend categories.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and procurement planning activities.



Operational Procurement

  • Oversee end-to-end purchasing activities, ensuring timely procurement and delivery of goods and services.
  • Ensure inventory optimization and efficient stock management in collaboration with Supply Chain and Operations teams.
  • Implement procurement policies, controls, and governance frameworks to ensure compliance and transparency.
  • Drive procurement process improvements and digitalization initiatives.



Quality, Compliance & Sustainability

  • Ensure sourced products comply with food safety regulations, quality standards, and company requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with internal policies, legal regulations, and ethical sourcing standards.
  • Support ESG and sustainability initiatives through supplier engagement and responsible sourcing practices.



Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team to build a high-performance culture.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality Assurance, R&D, and Commercial teams.
  • Act as a key business partner to senior leadership on procurement strategy and supply market developments.



The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Food Technology, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 12 years of procurement experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong experience managing both food and non-food procurement categories within the F&B, FMCG, hospitality, restaurant, food manufacturing, or retail sectors.
  • Proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of food supply chains, commodity markets, inventory management, and procurement best practices.
  • Experience managing large procurement spend and supplier portfolios.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and leadership capabilities.
  • Strong communication and presentation in English
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment is highly preferred.
