Job Description

The Head of Marketing (Alcohol) should responsible for :

  • Lead the brand strategy and annual marketing plan, translating global brand positioning and heritage into locally relevant strategies for the Indonesian market.
  • Act as the guardian of brand equity, ensuring consistent positioning, identity, storytelling, and premium brand experience across all consumer touchpoints.
  • Build strong local cultural relevance, connecting the brand's global heritage with Indonesian culture, lifestyle, communities, and consumer occasions in an authentic way.
  • Develop consumer and cultural insights to identify emerging trends, behaviors, occasions, and opportunities that strengthen brand desirability and differentiation.
  • Lead integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, PR, experiential, partnerships, events, and on-trade channels.
  • Drive distinctive brand experiences and collaborations with relevant local creators, communities, hospitality partners, and cultural opinion leaders.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Trade/Customer Marketing, and regional teams to translate brand strategy into sustainable commercial growth.
  • Manage marketing investment and monitor brand health, campaign effectiveness, consumer engagement, and overall business impact.
  • Collaborate with regional and global stakeholders, bringing strong local market perspectives while maintaining alignment with global brand strategy.
  • Ensure all brand activities comply with responsible marketing principles, company standards, and applicable regulations for alcoholic beverages.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Marketing (Alcohol) should have:

  • 7+ years of experience in Brand Management, Marketing, or Consumer Marketing, ideally within FMCG, or other brand-led industries.
  • Proven 8-10 years of experience in building brands and brand equity, beyond campaign execution or short-term activation.
  • Strong understanding of Indonesian consumers, culture, lifestyle, and emerging trends, with the ability to translate cultural insights into brand opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance global brand consistency with local market relevance and authenticity.
  • Strong strategic thinking combined with excellent creative judgment and storytelling capability.
  • Experience developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns and premium consumer experiences.
  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to connect marketing strategy to consumer recruitment, brand growth, and business performance.
  • Experience working in a multinational or matrix organization, with strong stakeholder management across local, regional, and global teams.
  • Strong leadership and agency management capabilities, with experience managing creative, media, PR, digital, and experiential partners.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills; fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English preferred.
