Our client, a leading consumer goods manufacturing company, is seeking a Head of Cybersecurity & IT Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) to pioneer and build the organization's cybersecurity function from the ground up. This is a strategic leadership role and the first hire in the cybersecurity domain, offering a unique opportunity to define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for information security across a complex, global manufacturing environment.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and lead the cybersecurity function as the organization's first dedicated security leader.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive information security strategy, aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Build and manage a high-performing cybersecurity and GRC team, including recruitment, training, and capability development.
  • Design and enforce IT governance frameworks, risk management processes, and compliance programs (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, etc.).
  • Oversee security architecture, vulnerability management, incident response, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Act as the primary advisor to executive leadership on cybersecurity risks, emerging threats, and mitigation strategies.
  • Drive security awareness programs across the organization to foster a culture of cyber resilience.
  • Collaborate with IT, operations, and business units to ensure secure digital transformation initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in cybersecurity leadership roles, preferably within large-scale manufacturing or FMCG environments.
  • Strong background in information security, IT risk management, and compliance frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to build security teams and functions from scratch.
  • Expertise in security architecture, threat intelligence, and incident response.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at C-suite level.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer are highly desirable.
