Job Description

As a Head of Industrial Relations, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing industrial relations strategies aligned with organisational goals.
  • Ensuring compliance with local labour laws and regulations.
  • Managing and resolving employee disputes and grievances effectively.
  • Leading collective bargaining negotiations with employee representatives and unions.
  • Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with unions and other stakeholders.
  • Providing guidance and training to management on industrial relations practices.
  • Monitoring trends in employee relations and providing strategic recommendations.
  • Preparing and maintaining accurate documentation related to industrial relations activities.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Industrial Relations should have:

  • A degree in Human Resources, Law, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of labour laws and regulations
  • Proven expertise in managing union relationships and collective bargaining processes.
  • Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective employee relations strategies.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
