Job Description

As a GM Finance, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Analysing financial data to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Managing relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors and regulatory bodies.
  • Supervising and mentoring the accounting and finance team.
  • Driving cost optimisation initiatives across the organisation.
  • Preparing and presenting financial reports to the board of directors.

The Successful Applicant

A successful GM Finance should have:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA or equivalent.
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive finance experience
  • Experience gained from a sizable conglomerate or multinational corporation.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, management accounting, treasury, tax, and internal controls.
  • Proven experience in commercial finance and business partnering.
  • Demonstrated ability to support operational and commercial decision-making.
  • Strong financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and business analysis skills.
  • Strong leadership with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage board-level stakeholders.
  • High integrity, professionalism, and sound business judgment.
