As part of their expansion, they are seeking a dedicated General Safety professional to enhance and sustain safety excellence across site operations

Job Description

As a General Manager Safety, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Lead implementation of safety programs and ensure compliance with national safety regulations and internal standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments across operational areas.
  • Facilitate incident reporting, investigation, and root-cause analysis, ensuring corrective actions are executed.
  • Provide coaching and support to operational teams to strengthen safety awareness and culture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to embed risk mitigation practices.
  • Maintain safety documentation, reports, and audit records to support regulatory compliance.
  • Support emergency response planning, drills, and continuous readiness.
  • Monitor safety KPIs and drive initiatives for improvement.

The Successful Applicant

A successful General Manager Safety should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field with 15+ years of safety experience within mining, oil and gas, or similar high‑risk environments.
  • Strong understanding of Indonesian safety regulations and mining safety frameworks.
  • Proven experience in conducting incident investigations and risk assessments.
  • Excellent communication in stakeholder management skills and experience in managing large organisation and high business complexity and risk.
  • Certifications such as AK3 Umum, SMKP Minerba, or equivalent are highly advantageous.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving ability, and commitment to continuous improvement.
