sustainability and operational continuity.Job DescriptionKey ResponsibilitiesGovernment Relations & Strategic AdvocacyDevelop and lead the company's Government Relations and Corporate Affairs strategy in alignment with business priorities.Build proactive advocacy strategies to help shape a predictable, sustainable and supportive regulatory environment.Monitor political, legislative, regulatory and fiscal developments and assess their potential impact on the business.Translate external developments into clear business implications, risks, opportunities and recommended actions.Develop clear policy positions and engagement strategies on issues critical to the company's operations and long-term sustainability.Build and maintain strategic relationships with relevant government institutions, policymakers, regulators and influential stakeholders.Engage industry associations, coalitions and external partners to build alignment and advance shared priorities.Identify opportunities to improve the broader operating environment while protecting the company's licence to operate and commercial freedom.Regulatory Environment & Strategic CounselDevelop a strong understanding of the regulatory, political and stakeholder landscape affecting the business.Anticipate emerging developments and ensure the business is appropriately prepared for potential risks and opportunities.Maintain an active assessment of external risks and opportunities that may affect short- and long-term business priorities.Provide strategic counsel to senior leadership on government, regulatory and external developments.Work closely with business functions to ensure external considerations are incorporated into strategic and operational decision-making.Support senior leaders in understanding the potential business implications of complex policy and stakeholder developments.Stakeholder Management & Licence to OperateLead the company's broader stakeholder engagement and licence-to-operate agenda across its operations.Build and maintain constructive relationships with stakeholders at national, regional and local levels.Develop effective engagement strategies across government, industry groups, communities and other relevant external stakeholders.Navigate differing stakeholder dynamics across locations and operational environments.Partner closely with operational teams to identify, anticipate and address emerging external issues.Strengthen the company's external presence and credibility through consistent, strategic and meaningful stakeholder engagement.Issues & Crisis ManagementLead the Corporate Affairs response to significant external issues and emerging risks.Assess potential regulatory, operational and reputational implications and recommend appropriate stakeholder strategies.Coordinate cross-functional responses to complex external situations.Engage relevant external stakeholders directly when required.Advise senior management during significant issues or crises.Strengthen crisis preparedness, escalation processes and stakeholder engagement plans across the organisation.The successful candidate should be able to operate strategically with senior leaders while remaining practical and effective in complex, on-the-ground situations.Reputation, Communications & SustainabilityShape and protect the company's reputation among key stakeholders.Provide strategic direction on corporate narratives, external communications and reputation management.Ensure communications initiatives support the broader Corporate Affairs and stakeholder agenda.Provide leadership and direction to relevant sustainability priorities and external partnerships.Work closely with internal functions to connect sustainability priorities with government, community and broader stakeholder engagement.Ensure a coordinated approach across Government Relations, Communications and Sustainability.Leadership & Business PartnershipLead, develop and strengthen a high-performing Corporate Affairs team.Set a clear strategic direction and ensure strong execution and accountability across the function.Develop capabilities across Government Relations, stakeholder engagement, communications and sustainability.Assess team strengths and development needs, raising performance standards and addressing capability gaps where required.Build a strong, collaborative and accountable team culture.Partner closely with senior business leaders and act as a trusted advisor on external developments affecting the business.The Successful ApplicantKey Requirements18+ years of experience in Corporate Affairs, Government Relations, Public Affairs or related functions.Strong experience leading Government Relations and proactive policy, regulatory or fiscal advocacy in Indonesia.Demonstrated ability to develop advocacy strategies and engage government stakeholders, policymakers, regulators and industry associations.Experience operating within a complex regulatory and stakeholder environment, where government policy and external developments can directly impact business operations and long-term commercial priorities.Experience within a business with significant manufacturing, industrial or operational facilities.Strong understanding of how political, regulatory and fiscal developments translate into business risks, opportunities and strategic decisions.Demonstrated experience managing complex stakeholder dynamics across national, regional and local levels.Proven experience handling significant external issues and crises, with the ability to remain practical and hands-on when required.Strong business acumen and the ability to balance external stakeholder considerations with business priorities.Proven people leadership experience, including building capabilities, developing teams and raising performance standards.Comfortable operating at both senior leadership and operational levels.Experience working within a
