We're representing a Data Center client in the Technology & Telecommunications sector that's expanding their team

Job Description



Operations & Monitoring

  • Monitor and operate critical facility systems including:
    • UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply)
    • Generators
    • Electrical distribution systems
    • HVAC and cooling systems
    • Fire detection and suppression systems
    • Building Management System (BMS)
    • Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) systems
  • Perform routine operational checks and inspections to ensure facility reliability and availability.
  • Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergency situations.
  • Escalate operational issues according to established procedures.



Maintenance & Troubleshooting

  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance activities on critical infrastructure equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
  • Coordinate and supervise vendor activities during maintenance and repair works.
  • Ensure maintenance activities are completed according to safety and operational standards.



Compliance & Safety

  • Adhere to all company safety, environmental, and operational procedures.
  • Perform work in accordance with Data Center operational standards and best practices.
  • Support audits, compliance inspections, and operational reporting requirements.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and documentation.



Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
  • Document incidents, root cause analyses, and corrective actions.
  • Update SOPs, maintenance procedures, and operational records as required.

The Successful Applicant



Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in:
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Mechanical Engineering

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in:
    • Data Center Operations
    • Data Center Facilities Management
    • Power Plant Operations
    • Critical Facilities Operations
    • Industrial Utilities Operations
  • Experience working with critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure is required.



Technical Skills

  • Understanding of electrical systems, switchgear, transformers, UPS, generators, and power distribution.
  • Understanding of mechanical systems including HVAC, chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, and cooling infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with BMS, DCIM, and facility monitoring systems.
  • Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
  • Basic troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.



Language Requirements

  • English proficiency is mandatory (written and verbal).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and customers.



Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Tier III or Tier IV Data Center environments.
  • Certification related to Data Center Operations, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Facilities Management is an advantage.
  • Experience working in a 24/7 shift environment.
