Job Description

  • Provide strategic legal advisory to management across operations, commercial, and corporate matters
  • Oversee contracts, negotiations, and commercial structuring
  • Ensure full regulatory compliance (mining laws, permits, governance)
  • Lead permitting, licensing, and land acquisition strategy
  • Anticipate and manage legal risks & dispute mitigation (litigation, arbitration, crisis)
  • Drive cross-functional alignment
  • Manage relationships with regulators, government, and external counsel
  • Oversee security-related legal aspects (including risk and compliance lens

The Successful Applicant

  • Law degree (Master's preferred)
  • ~20 years of experience (mining/energy preferred)
  • Strong in contracts, compliance & dispute resolution
  • Proven strategic, cross-functional exposure (ops, commercial, permits)
  • Strong leadership experience and strategic approach
  • Strong government/regulator engagement
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation & problem-solving skills
  • High integrity, resilient in complex environments
