You will oversee short, medium, and long-term mine plans, guide geotechnical and geological teams, and ensure alignment between technical outputs and production targets.

Job Description

As a Technical Service Manager, your main responsibilities will include:\

  • Lead mine planning for short-, medium-, and long‑term schedules to meet operational targets.
  • Review and approve technical designs, DEDs, BoQs, and engineering documents before management approval.
  • Maintain and update technical risk registers (geotechnical, hydrology, mine planning).
  • Ensure consistency between approved designs, execution plans, and actual field conditions.
  • Act as the technical liaison between Operations and DSTF teams for planning coordination.
  • Evaluate contractor proposals, technical assumptions, BoQs, and provide justification for scope changes or claims.
  • Oversee technical data integrity, reporting quality, and contractor performance monitoring.
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and decision papers for management and COO reviews.
  • Ensure all technical plans comply with K3, environmental regulations, RKAB, and AMDAL.
  • Guide teams in environmental cleanliness initiatives and promote safety-by-design principles.



The Successful Applicant

A successful Technical Service Manager should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in mining operations, technical services, or mine planning.
  • Experience working in a mining company (mandatory).
  • Strong understanding of mine planning and tailings-related planning (highly desirable).
  • Certifications such as POP or POM are an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and mining planning/engineering software.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder coordination abilities.
  • Able to work under pressure and make sound engineering judgments.
