Job Description

As a Technical Service Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Able to independently troubleshoot and resolve on-site technical issues such as delamination, abnormal bonding, and formulation incompatibilities.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges and drive improvements.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Analysing technical data to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
  • Monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators for technical operations.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Technical Service Manager should have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in application technology or after-sales service related to adhesives (resins) in the plywood processing industry.
  • Proven experience working in cross-border or international teams.
  • Strong knowledge of adhesive (resin) analysis and application within the plywood manufacturing process.
  • Familiar with key production operations, including mixing, application, cold pressing, and hot pressing.
  • Honest, reliable, proactive, and service-oriented, with strong observational skills related to material properties
  • Effective at communicating technical concepts with customer production and R&D teams, with the ability to accurately identify needs and provide solutions.
  • Demonstrates solid project management capabilities.
  • Fluent in Indonesian and proficient in English (listening, speaking, reading, and writing).
  • Knowledge of Chinese is an advantage, particularly for working in multinational environments or with international clients.
