Our client is a leading global provider of Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) services, supporting the minerals and mining industry across multiple international locations

Job Description

As a Senior Metallurgist, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the setup and development of the metallurgical laboratory in Indonesia.
  • Design, manage, and execute metallurgical testwork programs from bench-scale through pilot plant activities.
  • Develop process flowsheets and provide technical solutions for mining and mineral processing projects.
  • Analyze metallurgical test results and provide recommendations to clients.
  • Prepare technical reports, metallurgical balances, and project documentation.
  • Manage client relationships and support business development activities.
  • Mentor and supervise metallurgists and laboratory technicians.
  • Ensure compliance with all HSE, quality, and operational standards

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Metallurgist should have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgy, Minerals Processing, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of Metallurgical experience.
  • Strong background in metallurgical laboratory testwork and process development.
  • Expertise in precious and base metals, particularly Gold, Copper, Silver, and Nickel.
  • Proven experience developing metallurgical process flowsheets and supporting projects through commercialization.
  • Experience leading technical teams and mentoring junior staff.
  • Strong client-facing, project management, and communication skills.
  • Experience with greenfield projects, mine expansions, and process optimization programs will be highly regarded.
  • Experience within TIC organizations, consulting firms, laboratories, or mining operators is highly desirable
