Job Description

As a Process Safety Engineer, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and support process safety activities during EPC and project execution phases
  • Prepare and contribute to ITB and tender processes (Phase 2)
  • Review and approve all process safety deliverables
  • Ensure compliance with international standards (NFPA, API, ISO, IEC, etc.) and local regulations
  • Participate in and facilitate safety workshops (HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, SIMOPS, PSSR)
  • Oversee implementation of process safety across design, procurement, construction, and startup
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and government authorities

The Successful Applicant

A successful Process Safety Engineer should have:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in process safety within oil & gas
  • Strong knowledge of process safety tools (PHAST, FLARESIM, PIPENET, etc.)
  • Expertise in process safety studies (QRA, FEA, EERA, fire & gas mapping, dispersion studies)
  • Experience with international and local regulatory frameworks
  • Proven experience managing contractors and working in complex project environments
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Willingness to travel to project sites
