Job Description

  • Lead, develop, and provide technical guidance to a team of junior patent engineers.
  • Manage engineering-focused patent matters, including patent drafting, prosecution, analysis, and portfolio management.
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of patent work while maintaining compliance with Indonesian IP regulations.
  • Advise local and international clients on patent protection strategies for engineering and technology-related innovations.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues and stakeholders across Indonesia and regional offices.
  • Manage communication with both local leadership and regional stakeholders based outside Indonesia.
  • Support the continued growth and development of the Engineering Patent practice.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Registered as an Intellectual Property Consultant in Indonesia.
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience, including substantial experience handling engineering-focused patent matters.
  • Strong technical understanding and the ability to translate complex engineering concepts into commercially relevant patent advice.
  • Previous team leadership, people management, or mentoring experience is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to work effectively with regional and remotely based stakeholders.
  • Strong English proficiency and a high level of professional discretion.
