Job Description

As a Mobile Maintenance Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Lead HSE compliance and promote a strong safety culture across all maintenance activities.
  • Manage scheduled, breakdown, and shutdown maintenance for the mobile fleet.
  • Drive fleet reliability, availability, and maintenance KPI performance.
  • Implement contamination control and ISO-aligned maintenance standards.
  • Develop and execute long-term maintenance and asset reliability strategies.
  • Manage maintenance budgets including CAPEX, OPEX, and cost optimisation initiatives.
  • Lead continuous improvement programs to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Establish QA/QC processes and maintenance risk management practices.
  • Develop, mentor, and retain high-performing maintenance teams through succession planning.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver safe, reliable, and efficient mining operations.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Mobile Maintenance Manager should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in Heavy Earthmoving Equipment maintenance within the mining industry.
  • Strong experience managing fleets including CAT excavators, haulers, auxiliary equipment, and heavy transport vehicles.
  • Proven leadership experience managing large maintenance teams in site-based operations.
  • Strong understanding of asset management, maintenance planning, reliability, and operational KPIs.
  • Experience in incident investigation, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision making.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
