Job Description

As a Mechanical Technician (LNG), your main responsibilities will include:

  • Perform preventive, corrective, shutdown, and emergency maintenance activities for rotating and static mechanical equipment.
  • Conduct monitoring, inspection, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis to improve equipment reliability and availability.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with Permit to Work (PTW), Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), and HSSE requirements.
  • Prepare maintenance plans, job packs, and required resources for maintenance execution.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and equipment history within CMMS systems.
  • Support spare parts management and maintenance documentation improvements.
  • Develop and improve maintenance procedures, work instructions, and mechanical integrity practices.
  • Support Management of Change (MoC) and continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance team.
  • Respond effectively to equipment failures and emergency situations to maintain operational continuity.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Mechanical Technician (LNG) should have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in LNG, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or related industries.
  • Experience in rotating and static equipment maintenance.
  • Strong troubleshooting and equipment reliability improvement skills.
  • Familiarity with PTW, JHA, CMMS, and shutdown maintenance activities.
  • Ability to read P&ID, PFD, and technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of LNG processes and mechanical maintenance best practices.
  • Understanding of HSSE regulations and Safety Critical Equipment (SCE).
  • Experience operating diesel engine generators and balancing machines.
  • BNSP/LSP Migas certification and strong analytical skills are advantageous.
