Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal support throughout the early towards completion phase of a large-scale infrastructure project.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on EPC, consultancy, procurement, and other commercial agreements.
  • Identify legal and commercial risks while developing practical mitigation strategies.
  • Partner closely with project, procurement, commercial, finance, and technical teams to support project execution.
  • Coordinate and manage external legal counsel where required.
  • Advise on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and contractual obligations.
  • Support negotiations with contractors, consultants, and strategic business partners.
  • Prepare legal documentation, internal memoranda, and management presentations.
  • Monitor relevant legal and regulatory developments impacting the project.

The Successful Applicant

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Law with approximately 8-12 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in energy, infrastructure, construction, oil & gas, engineering, or other project-driven industries.
  • Proven experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts, including procurement, consultancy, services, construction, or project-related agreements.
  • Experience supporting large-scale capital projects, FEED, EPC, project financing, or infrastructure developments is highly advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of Indonesian corporate and commercial law, with the ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice.
  • Comfortable acting as a trusted legal advisor to senior business stakeholders while balancing legal risk with commercial objectives.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across legal, commercial, procurement, finance, engineering, and project teams.
  • Experience coordinating with and managing external legal counsel and reviewing their legal advice.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Professional proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia, both written and verbal.
  • This is a contract position with possibility to extend as full time.
