The position requires providing strategic and hands-on legal support across construction-related matters while working independently.Job DescriptionAct as the primary legal advisor to the Country Head, providing end-to-end legal support across project lifecycle stages including tendering, contract negotiation, project execution, and dispute resolution.Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including EPC contracts, subcontractor agreements, NDAs, and supplier/vendor contracts, ensuring risk mitigation and alignment with business objectives.Provide legal guidance on construction law matters, including claims management, variations, delay analysis, liquidated damages, and contractual entitlements under local and international standards (e.g., FIDIC).Support project teams by identifying legal risks and proposing practical, commercially viable solutions, particularly in relation to site operations, project delivery, and compliance obligations.Manage and coordinate any disputes, litigation, or arbitration processes, working with external counsel where required while maintaining cost efficiency and strategic oversight.Ensure compliance with Indonesian laws and regulations, as well as internal corporate governance, ethics, and compliance policies across all business activities.Advise on corporate legal matters including entity structuring, regulatory filings, licenses, and day-to-day legal operations as a standalone contributor.The Successful ApplicantQualified lawyer with 4-8 years of post-qualification experience, ideally gained from a combination of reputable law firms and in-house roles within construction, engineering, or infrastructure sectors.Strong technical knowledge of construction law, contract management, and claims handling, with familiarity in standard contract frameworks such as FIDIC or similar.Proven experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts, with the ability to balance legal risk and commercial priorities effectively.Demonstrated ability to work independently in a single contributor role, managing multiple stakeholders and priorities with minimal supervision.Prior experience in a multinational environment, with strong communication skills in English and the ability to operate in a cross-cultural, matrix organization.High level of commercial acumen, problem-solving capability, and confidence to engage directly with senior leadership and business teams.Strong integrity, adaptability, and a hands-on approach, with willingness to be involved in both strategic and operational legal matters.What's on OfferIf you are an independent and commercially driven legal professional looking for a high-impact role with direct exposure to senior leadership, we would love to hear from you.
