Our client is a group mining company started with nickel mining. contractor, and now expading to gold mining. The organisation is committed to responsible mining practices, operational excellence, and sustainable growth. With a focus on safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement, the company is seeking a highly capable KTT to lead technical mining activities and support its next phase of development.

Job Description

Reporting directly to senior management, the KTT will be responsible for overseeing all technical and operational mining activities while ensuring full compliance with Indonesian mining regulations and government requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Serve as the appointed Kepala Teknik Tambang (KTT) in accordance with applicable mining regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with mining, environmental, safety, and operational standards.
  • Lead and supervise mining operations to achieve production and cost targets.
  • Develop and implement mining plans and operational strategies.
  • Drive a strong safety culture across all site activities.
  • Liaise with government authorities and regulatory stakeholders.
  • Manage technical teams, contractors, and cross-functional site personnel.
  • Monitor operational performance and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Oversee mine planning, production reporting, and technical evaluations.
  • Ensure effective risk management and mitigation across site operations

The Successful Applicant

A successful KTT (Gold) should have:

  • Degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a related discipline with minimum experience of 15 years and latest exposure as at least as vice-KTT.
  • Certified POU and eligible to be appointed as KTT under Indonesian mining regulations.
  • Extensive experience within open-pit and/or underground gold mining operations.
  • Proven leadership experience managing technical and operational mining teams.
  • Strong knowledge of Indonesian mining laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Demonstrated track record in safety management and operational excellence.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience engaging regulators and external partners.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and decision-making abilities.
  • Willingness to be based on a remote mining site roster.
