Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO and senior leadership team on legal, regulatory, and business matters
  • Lead and execute legal aspects of international expansion, including entity setup, joint ventures, distribution, and partnership structures
  • Oversee corporate governance and ensure compliance with public listed company requirements, including disclosures, board matters, and regulatory reporting
  • Provide commercially focused legal support across all business functions, including procurement, leasing, franchising, and vendor agreements
  • Develop scalable legal frameworks, templates, and processes to support a high-volume retail environment without compromising speed
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and regulatory risks across multiple jurisdictions
  • Manage disputes, regulatory issues, and crisis situations with a pragmatic and solution-oriented approach
  • Build, lead, and mentor the internal legal team while managing external counsel across different markets
  • Partner closely with internal stakeholders to drive business initiatives while maintaining appropriate risk controls

The Successful Applicant

Key Requirements

  • Qualified lawyer with 12-15+ years of experience, including significant in-house exposure
  • Proven experience within a public-listed company environment, with strong understanding of OJK and IDX regulations
  • Demonstrated track record in cross-border transactions or regional market
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance legal risk and business objectives
  • Experience in retail, consumer, FMCG, or high-volume commercial environments is highly preferred
  • Prior leadership experience with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage teams
  • Hands-on, pragmatic, and able to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving business
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills
