Job Description

Reporting directly to senior executive leadership, the Head of OHSE will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing enterprise-wide OHSE strategies, policies, and standards.
  • Driving a strong safety culture and embedding proactive risk management across all operations.
  • Ensuring compliance with Indonesian mining regulations and international OHSE standards.
  • Leading incident prevention, investigation, corrective action, and continuous improvement programmes.
  • Monitoring and reporting OHSE performance metrics to executive management and key stakeholders.
  • Managing environmental compliance, mine rehabilitation, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Providing expert guidance on occupational health and industrial hygiene matters.
  • Leading and developing regional OHSE teams across multiple mine sites.
  • Acting as the key liaison with regulators, industry bodies, and external stakeholders.
  • Supporting operational leaders in achieving safety and production objectives while maintaining the highest OHSE standards.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in OHSE leadership within the mining, resources, or heavy industrial sectors.
  • Proven experience managing OHSE across large-scale, multi-site operations.
  • Strong understanding of Indonesian mining regulations and international best practices.
  • Demonstrated success in building high-performance safety cultures and reducing operational risk.
  • Experience engaging with senior executives, regulators, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and change management capabilities.
  • Professional certifications in OHSE, risk management, or environmental management are advantageous.
  • Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
