Job Description

Reporting directly to senior management, the Head of Mining Project (Bauxite) will be responsible for:

    • Leading the end-to-end development and execution of the bauxite mining project.
    • Establishing project strategy, timelines, budgets, and operational plans.
    • Managing mine development activities to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations.
    • Coordinating with engineering, construction, operations, HSE, and external stakeholders.
    • Driving project performance against key operational and financial targets.
    • Ensuring compliance with all applicable mining regulations, environmental requirements, and corporate governance standards.
    • Building and leading a high-performing technical and operational team.
    • Managing relationships with government authorities, contractors, consultants, and local communities.
    • Identifying project risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
    • Supporting long-term mine planning and future expansion initiatives.



The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Mining Project (Bauxite) should have:

    • Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a related discipline.
    • Minimum 15 years of experience within the mining industry, including significant exposure to bauxite or open-pit mining operations.
    • Proven track record leading large-scale mining projects from development through operational readiness.
    • Strong knowledge of Indonesian mining regulations and industry best practices.
    • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
    • Demonstrated ability to oversee project budgets, schedules, and contractor performance.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Strong commercial awareness and strategic thinking capability.
    • Willingness to be based at project site operations.
