Job Description

As a Data Engineer Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

    • Define and execute the company's data strategy aligned with business vision and objectives
    • Lead and develop the data organization, including Data Engineers, ETL Developers, BI Developers, and Data Analysts
    • Design and oversee scalable data architecture, including data warehouses, data lakes, data marts, and operational data stores
    • Ensure reliable, efficient, and scalable data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and delivery
    • Drive the development of dashboards, reports, and advanced analytics to meet business needs
    • Establish and enforce data governance, quality, security, and integrity standards
    • Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into data‑driven solutions
    • Identify opportunities to leverage data for operational efficiency, optimization, and business growth
    • Monitor performance of data platforms and continuously improve processes, tools, and technologies
    • Manage data project priorities, timelines, and delivery quality



The Successful Applicant

    • 5-8 years of experience in data‑related roles (Data Engineering, BI, Analytics), with 2-3 years in a leadership position
    • Hands‑on experience designing and managing enterprise data architectures
    • Strong experience building and managing ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as SSIS, Talend, Pentaho, or modern equivalents
    • Advanced knowledge of databases (RDBMS and NoSQL), data modeling, and SQL performance optimization
    • Solid understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security practices
    • Experience with BI and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar
    • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and big data concepts is a plus
    • Experience with advanced analytics or data science is an advantage
