Job Description

As a Head of IT, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Set and deliver the IT direction in line with business needs across the organisation.
  • Oversee technology systems to maintain reliable, secure and effective day-to-day operations.
  • Develop IT plans and priorities that support business objectives in the Energy & Natural Resources sector.
  • Manage IT projects from planning through delivery, keeping scope, timelines and outcomes clear.
  • Review technology performance and identify practical improvements to systems and services.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to understand operational needs and translate them into IT solutions.
  • Guide IT suppliers and service providers to ensure agreed services are delivered effectively.
  • Provide clear updates on IT priorities, project progress and key technology matters to management.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head Of It should have:

  • Strong capability in setting IT direction and aligning technology plans with business needs.
  • Experience managing IT Mining systems, technology projects and external service providers.
  • Ability to assess technology requirements and deliver practical solutions for Mining Technology
  • Knowledge of IT Mining Infrastructure and system performance management.
  • Ability to manage multiple IT priorities in a structured and clear manner.
  • Confidence communicating technology plans and project updates to stakeholders.
