Job Description

As a GM IT, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and execute the organization's technology and digital transformation roadmap.
  • Lead enterprise-wide technology initiatives that improve operational efficiency, business performance, and customer experience.
  • Drive successful implementation of key strategic projects, including ERP, CRM, and digital platform initiatives.
  • Establish IT governance, cybersecurity, risk management, and technology standards across the business.
  • Partner closely with executive leadership, business leaders, and operational teams to align technology investments with business priorities.
  • Evaluate opportunities for AI adoption and identify practical use cases that enhance productivity and organizational effectiveness.
  • Build and develop technology, data, and digital capabilities to support future growth.
  • Manage relationships with technology vendors, solution providers, and implementation partners.
  • Oversee IT infrastructure, business applications, and enterprise systems to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • Lead, mentor, and strengthen the technology organization while fostering a culture of accountability and execution excellence.

The Successful Applicant

A successful GM IT should have:

  • 15+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including significant exposure at Head of IT, IT Director, or GM IT level.
  • Proven track record leading enterprise-wide digital transformation programs.
  • Experience delivering large-scale technology implementations and managing cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise applications, data management, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and emerging technologies.
  • Experience working directly with CEOs, owners, boards, or senior executives.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with strong execution capability.
  • Experience managing external vendors and technology partners.
  • Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
