Job Description

As a General Manager Environment, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and implement group-wide environmental strategy and ensure alignment across all sites.
  • Ensure full compliance with environmental regulations, technical approvals, AMDAL/UKL‑UPL, and SLO requirements.
  • Lead communication and coordination with regulators, auditors, investors, and public stakeholders.
  • Oversee environmental monitoring (air, water, soil, noise, B3 waste) and standardize sampling methodologies.
  • Validate and submit regulatory environmental reports; manage inspections and PROPER evaluations.
  • Manage waste, water, tailings, DSTP, emissions, and pollution-control systems for all operations.
  • Lead biodiversity, reclamation, revegetation, ecosystem restoration, and mine-closure planning.
  • Identify and mitigate environmental risks; manage incident response and emergency preparedness.
  • Implement ISO 14001, develop SOPs, and drive continuous improvement across all environmental systems.
  • Prepare ESG and Sustainability Reports; engage with ESG rating bodies and support Net Zero targets.

The Successful Applicant

A successful General Manager Environment should have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in environmental management within nickel and gold mine, as well as smelter and indutrial park.
  • Strong knowledge of Indonesian environmental regulations and international standards.
  • Proven leadership in multi-site environmental oversight.
  • Experience managing regulators, auditors, and investor relations.
  • Strong analytical, crisis management, and stakeholder communication skills.
